The first Arizona State University player to make the NHL has battled his way up from a being a seventh-round pick in the 2015 draft by improving his mental game, to go along with the physical skills and techniques he already possessed. He fights through traffic to track pucks, and he has good puck-handling skills and mobility. He must get more consistent and cut down on bad goals.
